Concept

What is the concept?
In the industrial and design context, the term concept denotes the initial idea of a product or system, expressed in terms of desired functionality, performance and features. It represents the embryonic phase of the development cycle, during which general specifications are outlined, design alternatives are explored, and a clear vision is defined for validation before proceeding with more detailed design phases. The concept is not yet a technical design, but a synthesis of market needs, technological feasibility and business objectives.
How Var Industries can facilitate companies
Var Industries supports companies in concept definition and validation with an integrated suite of CAD, CAE and PLM tools. Through solutions such as NX, Solid Edge or Simcenter, it is possible to transform an initial idea into a concept model 3D, simulating performance, costs and environmental impacts already in the preliminary stages. In addition, through integration with PDM/PLM systems such as Teamcenter, information generated during this phase is tracked, shared, and managed collaboratively, ensuring consistency between concept and actual development. This approach anticipates possible critical issues and enables faster time-to-market with more informed decisions.
