The 4 levels of materials management
Materials management within the factory occurs in different environments and at different levels, requiring different support activities to keep track of inventory efficiently. The Siemens and Cadlog solution provides all the flexibility needed to meet the specific needs of a production plant, greatly reducing inventory requirements and ensuring a smooth production flow.

1 - Basic level

At the basic level, materials are managed at all points of consumption. This level includes the following features:

  • Advanced verification - Ensures the correct setting of materials before assembly

  • Ability to consider alternative parts from AVL

  • Support of customer-defined material attributes (e.g., LED class, material delivery, etc.)

  • Dynamic bill of materials verification for LED light class
