Digitization enters the world of food packaging

The company
Logo Goglio

Since 1850, the Goglio Group has chosen technological innovation to offer excellence in the design and development of complete solutions for food packaging and wrapping . Combining flexible and green materials, state-of-the-art equipment and professional technical support service, the Varese-based engineering group guarantees process efficiency and product quality to its customers, concentrated in the coffeeè, tomato canning and detergent sectors. With 373 million euros of turnover, over 1800 employees And 15 locations both productive and commercial throughout the world, Goglio confirms itself as the ideal partner for innovative packaging.

Enhancing internal expertise and simplifying the use of facilities
Following the strong drive toward digitization recently undertaken by the group, both in services and processes, the Machinery Division of Goglio, based in Zeccone (PV), has decided to digitally update all product technical documentation to address issues related to the transfer of internal expertise, to improve maintenance and after sales processes.

To strengthen internal know-how and extend the knowledge of the technical department to the after sales area, a dedicated working group was established to develop structured and visual training materials aimed at facilitating the use and maintenance of machinery by customers.
Linkersys, the "visual" web platform that enhances the collaborative dimension of workflow
The project, based on the Linkersys solution from partner Desys and implemented in collaboration with Tech-Value, a Var Group company specializing in CAD and PLM services and solutions for the manufacturing sector, is part of a three year digitization plan. It responds to the increasingly evident need of customers for effective, easy to understand, and time saving documentation.

Fully visual and interactive content has replaced traditional printed manuals and catalogs accompanied by static illustrations and photographs, which are often difficult to update. The Linkersys platform, compatible with any 3D CAD, enables the creation of manuals and video procedures with interactive and customizable 3D animations, thanks to a CAD system that requires no plugins and remains extremely responsive.

The RTA module also allows technical operators to guide and assist users in real time, supported by augmented reality, during the assembly, operation, and maintenance phases of Goglio’s systems and machinery.
The thousand faces of Linkersys with a look l’e commerce
The machines made and supplied by Goglio are sophisticated and computerized with numerical controls, so they require a procedure that is easy to consult and understand to make them work at their best. With this in mind, it is possible to activate e-learning sections on the use of the systems, a real remote training with the issuance of certifications and certificates. Currently, customers also use the Linkersys solution to identify the codes of the various components and send, through the opening of a ticket, more precise information related to critical issues or technical malfunctions. The platform is also already prepared for e-commerce, an area in which the company wants to expand in the near future, the customer will thus be able to access additional functionality, finalizing the order of spare parts.
