Scalable high-speed PCB simulation tools

HyperLynx

What is HyperLynx?
HyperLynx is a comprehensive family of analysis and simulation tools for high-speed electronic design, including: Electrical Rule Check (RDC/ERC), Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI) with integrated 2D/2.5D/3D electromagnetic (3D EM) modeling.

HyperLynx allows you to discover and correct in advance problems that might arise in the design cycle, using advanced simulation techniques to predict how your design will perform.
The tools of the HyperLynx suite

Inside the suite, HyperLynx DRC offers powerful rules-based analysis for automatically identifying critical violations in PCB layouts, such as misalignments or non-compliant clearances. For power integrity analysis, HyperLynx PI allows you to validate power distribution networks (PDNs) accurately, identifying voltage drops, resonances and instabilities.

When it comes to high-performance memory systems, HyperLynx DDRx is the ideal tool for simulating and verifying the behavior of DDR, LPDDR, and DDR5 buses, taking into account timing, noise, and signal margins. For moreù detailed electromagnetic simulations, HyperLynx Fast 3D Solver enables fast and accurate modeling of 3D structures, while HyperLynx Full-Wave Solver ensures maximum detail and accuracy in full-wave EM analysis of complex interconnects.

Why choose Hyperlynx for PCB simulation?
How PCB simulation saves project time and cost
With HyperLynx PCB Simulation, you can perform any type of analysis you need in advance, throughout the design process. This requires great advantages in terms of cost as well as time-to-market. One study quantified the cost of failure by looking at re-spins (forced redesigns when errors are found in physical prototypes or production boards).

The graph below assumes 2 re-spins per project and shows the rapidly increasing cost when applied to multiple projects. This is the cost (and time) that is currently built into existing program projections-it is somewhat expected that the designs will go through 2-4 re-spins.

This is unreasonable and unnecessary. And it only gets worse--as design complexity adds new problems that emerge, increasing the potential number of re-spins needed, while searching "in the dark" for the causes of the problem.
